THOMAS ENGELHARD JOINS PENTEGRA RETIREMENT SERVICES

Thomas Engelhard has joined Pentegra Retirement Services as Regional Director-Midwest, announced Robert C. Albanese, Pentegra Retirement Services President and CEO.

Tom brings more than 25 years of industry expertise to Pentegra-with a background that includes an in-depth understanding of 401(k), 403(b), 457, and Multiple Employer plans as well Defined Benefit advisory services. "Tom is an accomplished and experienced retirement plan professional whose considerable knowledge and ERISA expertise will benefit our organization tremendously," said Albanese.

Engelhard will be instrumental in developing, marketing and selling Pentegra's full suite of Defined Contribution, Defined Benefit and private label retirement plan services through Registered Investment Advisors, consultants and retirement plan advisors throughout the Central U.S. region.

While Pentegra has historically been a leading provider of retirement products and services to financial institutions and corporations nationwide, Engelhard's target market will be mid-sized, non-financial institutions, where Pentegra's high-touch service, fully bundled program and independent, unbiased approach should resonate well.

Said Engelhard, "Today, plan sponsors view fee transparency, full disclosure and fiduciary guidance as main drivers in selecting a retirement provider - which are critical in our new regulatory environment. Pentegra's commitment and leadership to integrating these three key issues with a solid value proposition puts participant interests first."

Most recently, Tom served as a Regional Sales Director in AUL's Chicago office. Prior to AUL, he was a Regional Sales Director with The Hartford's Retirement Services Division for over 22 years. He is a graduate of Miami of Ohio and has an MBA from Loyola University, Chicago. He is also a Certified Employee Benefit Specialist.

Founded by the Federal Home Loan Bank System in 1943, Pentegra Retirement Services offers a full range of retirement programs, including 401(k) plans, 403(b) plans, Defined Benefit and Cash Balance pension plans, ESOPs, KSOPs ,457 plans, executive benefit and director plans, as well as full-service Private Label retirement capabilities.
